Sgt. Enrico Pagnano
Enrico was the only child of Italian immigrants, who were also only children, that settled in the Nonantum section of Newton to live their American dream.
Enrico was a gifted athlete with a bright future, who upon graduation, like many of his peers, enlisted in the Armed Forces. Enrico was proud to be a Marine and sadly on his second tour of duty in Vietnam, he was killed in action. He is memorialized each year on the bridge across from Our Lady’s Church.
Enrico made the ultimate sacrifice; it is our honor to recognize him for that sacrifice.
We will never forget!!
